The argument against that is, we do know when pharaohs lied in their history. I have heard people say that the Egyptians would have just lied about such a loss and not recorded it in their history. There is a 0.0% chance of the Exodus happening under Ramesses II. We know a lot about Ramesses II and he was arguably the greatest Pharaoh in history. People think it was Ramesses II due to the Charlton Heston film as far as I can tell. As we can't place the event in a historical context, it's not possible to figure out the Exodus Pharaoh.Īs for Ramesses II, it definitely wasn't him. It's extremely hard to place the event due to the information provided. Mohammad learned Judaism and Christianity, he read the Bible so it would make sense that he would reference the same Pharaoh.Īs for who that Pharaoh was, there isn't any evidence that the Exodus happened. My guess is that the Bible and Quran are referencing the same Pharaoh.
